Charlie McDermott

Charlie McDermott hit the ground running after graduating from drama school, appearing in Silo Theatre's hit shows This Is Our Youth and Shopping And F*cking, followed by Mr Marmalade, Hamlet, Threepenny Opera, The Little Dog Laughed, Holding the Man and Loot.

He is the manager of The Basement Theatre, which has grown into Auckland's premier development space for burgeoning actors, writers and directors.  His production company, Royale Productions, has produced six plays in two years, with another two in development.  More than anything, Charlie wants to be part of a sustainable industry.  He is sure that The Actor's Program will equip its students with the skills to be employable and contribute to the growth of our industry.
